U11 Girls Softball (2013-2014)

Age	This program is for girls born in 2013 or 2014
Games	Games are played on Monday and Wednesday Games start at 7pm and run for 90mins This is a travelling team, Morden, Carman, Manitou, Miami, and could be as far as Portage or Rock Lake
Practices	Practices are up to the coaches
Start	There will be an evaluation day at the end of April before the season starts for the coaches to see the skill level of all the girls in order to make even teams The season starts at the beginning of May and ends 2nd weekend of June
League Tournament	June 9-10
Things to Bring	baseball glove, hat, black baseball pants, long red socks, cleats, water bottle If your daughter is planning to pitch consider bringing her own pitching mask, one is provided in the equipment bag if this is a financial burden.
Things Provided	Helmets, bats, bases, balls, catcher equipment, pitching mask, first aid kits
Structure	U11 is played like fastpitch with some modifications. There is 3 outs and 4 balls, after 4 balls instead of the batter taking a walk to first base she will have a coach soft toss her 2 balls from foul territory. This keeps the ball active and in play while the girls are learning how to pitch. This is a fun opportunity for girls to learn how to throw, catch, bat, make plays and play different positions. The girls who have taken the pitching clinic will get the opportunity to pitch during games.
